The 2000 series was a series of Chicago 'L' car built in 1964 by the Pullman Company. 180 cars were built; all, save for two pairs, were scrapped by 1994.
The 2000 series was the first of five interoperable series of Chicago 'L' cars known as the High Performance Family. They were also the first CTA cars to resemble mass transit cars with all previous cars resembling heavy rail passenger cars.
